Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
